Bolaji James earned a degree in economics in 2009 from Morehouse College where he graduated as co-salutatorian, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He now works for Colgate-Palmolive in Atlanta as a Broker Manager in their retail development group. Prior to transferring to Morehouse, Bolaji earned an associate’s degree with Honors in Vision Care from the New York City College of Technology. During the summer of 2008, he worked at Colgate Palmolive’s global headquarters in New York City as an Inroads Intern. At Morehouse, the native Nigerian was a member of the school’s investment club, a peer tutor and a mentor to inner city Atlanta public school students. Ultimately, Bolaji would like to serve communities in Africa by combining his vision care background with a master’s degree in business administration.
“My expectations about life have changed drastically. It’s no longer about getting a job just to pay the bills. It’s about having some impact on the world, about discovering what I’m passionate about in life and sharing that with others.” – Bolaji James
